Substack Exclusive: Get Your Guide!
volume one, beta product, first version - it is out now
I’m about 14 months postpartum. If you had talked to me a year ago, I would have been just starting to find my footing again. I had a rough start to motherhood, and not much prepared me for just how drastically life changed overnight.
I am utterly head over heels in love with my daughter. But navigating a new body, career ambitions, evolving finances, and the various feelings and sentiments around motherhood, mom guilt, and insert relevant societally-influenced emotion here, all within a short time span, is a lot for anyone.
Reading Matrescence by Lucy Jones put postpartum in perspective for the first time - it should be required reading for every new mom. And as I talked to new moms, I realized I wasn’t the only one who felt this journey should come with a few more informational sessions. My conclusion: it was wild that there wasn’t a better resource to prepare new moms, maybe I could fill that gap in the market?
I come from the tech world where iterating on customer feedback is critical. If you want to share anonymously what you wish you had known beforehand or your perspective on matrescence or information that would better prepare future moms, let me know here.
I’m very excited to announce that Guide One: Mastering the Third Trimester is now here!!!
This is an interactive guide designed to help you better prepare for baby in the third trimester (interactive checklists). The first section covers the basics of what you need to buy and do before baby arrives. The next touches on the financial decisions to discuss and preparations to make for baby. The last section discusses the physical and psychological challenges that can arise postpartum, to make sure you feel supported in this transition.
Thanks to my Substack subscribers for being my OG supporters. Through reader feedback, I’ve been iterating on the guide and finding my ICP (ideal customer profile). For all subscribers, use the code MOMSROCK to receive your guide for free and to share with another mom friend (you put the discount code in at checkout).
This is the first guide in a comprehensive series to support modern moms through the first year of motherhood. Think of it as the beta product; this is a soft launch.
In the second guide, we will be covering what you need to survive and thrive in the fourth trimester: feeding, sleep, schedules, finances, and postpartum health. Many of those topics I’ve touched on in these essays, if you need something to refer to before the next launch:
My goal is to build up to a book, so if you’re an agent and think this has legs, my DMs are open :).
As always, message me with feedback or suggestions.
If you want to know what actual products I liked and why, I’ve assembled them here.
See you next Sunday!
